Nicola & Ian – A Perfect Essex Wedding to End 2025
My final wedding of 2025 couldn’t have been a better one.
Nicola and Ian are an older couple with a brilliant story, a genuine chance meeting on Billericay train station that led to something real and lasting. Their wedding reflected that beautifully: relaxed, confident, and full of warmth.
The day took place at Rochford Hotel, where I had the privilege of being their Celebrant, Wedding Host and Essex Wedding DJ. Having helped them shape their ceremony, it felt especially meaningful to then guide the day and carry that story into the evening celebration.
Their first dance was a perfect example. They chose Shalamar – There It Is, and as they took to the floor, the lyrics said it all, “what took us so long to find each other?”
It felt honest, reflective, and completely right for them. The room instantly connected with the moment.
From there, the dancefloor grew naturally. The music stayed true to the couple, soul, disco, funk and uplifting house that brought everyone together. Some of the evening highlights included:

The energy never felt forced, just a room full of people enjoying the moment together, right through to the final song.
