Katja & Peter’s Wedding at Stanlake Park

On Saturday I had the pleasure of DJ’ing for Katja & Peter as they celebrated their wedding at the beautiful Stanlake Park near Reading. I was representing Mighty Fine Events, who always provide an exceptional standard of entertainment, and it was fantastic to be part of such a special day.
The couple wanted a set that would flow from soulful, romantic vibes into a full-on party atmosphere. Early in the evening, classics like Al Green – “Let’s Stay Together”, Anita Baker – “Sweet Love”, and Luther Vandross – “Never Too Much” created a warm, feel-good mood. Guests soon hit the floor for disco favourites including Earth, Wind & Fire – “September”, Sister Sledge – “We Are Family”, and Candi Staton – “Young Hearts Run Free”.
As the night built, the playlist spanned generations and styles — from ABBA and Whitney Houston to Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Taylor Swift, and Usher. The indie-pop run of Arctic Monkeys, Franz Ferdinand, and Pulp had the dancefloor bouncing, while singalong anthems like Neil Diamond’s “Sweet Caroline” and Robbie Williams’ “Angels” brought the night to a perfect close.
Stanlake Park’s stunning setting and welcoming atmosphere made it the ideal venue, and it was brilliant to see Katja & Peter surrounded by family and friends, dancing and singing until the very last track.
